Auntie Dania came to visit.

And, boy, is she fun! I don't know whether Miles or I was more happy to have her here. She even came to the dog park with us, so Lyle was pretty glad to see her, too.

Lyle taking a well-deserved break.

I can only imagine that Mac and I are barking here. I don't know what Graham was up to.

staying cool

We don't have air conditioning, a pool, or a sprinkler. But we do have cold tap water and a watering can. It worked for a while.

weather!!

This was the night we had a tornado warning -- one touched down several miles from here. I was trying to show the rain coming down in sheets and the torrents moving down the gutter. You can't really see it, but I expect you get the idea.

walking in Mt. Horeb

Miles love to scoot around town on his tricycle.
Graham usually takes the opportunity to nap.
Miles' favorite part of the walk -- where he can drive his trike wherever he wants to.

Ben's feast

Ben went all out last night to cook himself some ribs. Indirect heat, rib rack, wood chips, water pan. Verdict: a little overcooked, but he's sure he'll do better next time.

4th of July with Grandpa Bob and Jayme

But they're mostly pictures of us, since Bob took all the pictures. Here we are watering the flowers.
Miles figured out how to get more water out faster.

A trip to the Mendota Terrace

Miles brought his car, of course.
And Graham brought his bright blue eyes.
