As Mac gets older, he gets more interested in Lyle. Lyle is still showing himself to be as patient, gentle, and kind to Mac as we could possibly as for. We don't love Miles rolling around on the dog bed (he comes up with just about as much hair as a real dog), but Lyle thinks it's pretty fun. He isn't crazy about the cat trying to share his space, though.
Another thing Miles loves to do lately is draw. He has his own notebook to draw in, and he's got some beautiful pictures in there.
Miles got Duplos for Christmas, and they have fast become one of his favorite things to play with. Ben can't wait until he wants to start building airplanes.
No wonder I'm feeling off-balance lately. I don't think there's any more room in there, so I guess it's time for the baby to come :)
Mac and the dog are both very "helpful" putting up the tree. (No pictures of the completed tree now - they'll come soon, I promise.)
Miles is showing signs of being his parents' son. The organization of Rachel and the beer loving of Ben. 
But Mac's real favorite thing to do lately is drawing. It's a good thing those markers are washable!

Linda, who starting cutting my hair when I was about six, was very patient with Miles.
He wasn't so sure about the whole thing, but holding the clips helped.
Lyle got a new bed for his new home. He seems to like it.
Aida came to visit. Miles fell in love with her all over again. He does not fall asleep in the arms of many people.
More pictures to come later (opening presents, etc.). But here was the highlight of the day for Miles. He got to eat a whole piece of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. He didn't seem to have any trouble with it!
