mmmmmmore Mmmmmmiles

I tried to take a pic of the dog and the baby sitting happily side-by-side. This is what I got.
Clean, naked, and happy.

thank goodness it's springtime!

Two weeks ago, we were enjoying fifty degree weather and sunshine. This is what we woke up to Saturday morning. Bleck.

our kitty

Our Cassie isn't much of a playful cat, so Mom was surprised to find her batting things around the kitchen this morning.

The lilies

Ben took a bunch of great shots of the lilies he bought for V-Day. This is my favorite.

Miles in his office

Remember those eyebrows?

Lyle's never far away. Check out the yellow blur in the bottom left-hand corner.

the jumper

My sister Lauren loved her Johnny Jump-Up when she was a little girl. We have one for Miles, but it seems like they're not as fun these days, now that they've been made safer. Today was the first day that Miles has enjoyed it.
Lyle tries to push Mac around from side to side. Mac thinks it's really fun; I think it's a bit unsafe.

Finally!

A picture of Mac and his papa sleeing on the couch.

Valentine's Day

Auntie Dania sent this to Miles. It got here a couple of days late, but awfully cute. (And the cookies that came with it were delish.)
Ben's gift to Rachel. Rachel got Ben "meatball" gumballs. Yum.

Guess who's going to be in these pictures

I hope that all of you reading this blog are as interested in pictures of Miles as we are, because I could never see too many. Here are some more good ones . . .

Look at those chompers!

Enjoying another meal of avocados. Pears are now on the list of favorite foods.

big boy car seat

Miles is getting tired of being in his infant car seat. So we got him a big boy seat (don't worry, he'll still be facing backwards!) so that he can sit more upright. It's not in the car yet, but he seems to like it ok.
Still, everything goes straight into the mouth.
Lyle likes it when Miles leaves his blankets and cushions on the living room floor. Makes a great dog bed.
Mac isn't sure how he feels about his Mama having a camera in front of her face all day long.

Playing with the D40

Years ago, when film and development used to cost something, I (Rachel) would BEG Mom to borrow her camera. She'd give me a limit of pictures I could take (five or ten), and I would invariably go outside to take pictures of the dog or the cats. I don't know how many bad photos of those animals we had. So, what do I do when I have a new camera, Miles is sleeping, and I have a chance to take as many pictures as I want? Shoot sixty pictures of the dog and the cat. (And a couple of sleeping Miles.)

A new camera!!!!

We've been having lots of camera problems around here lately. Ellen and Alan bought us a new camera, and it arrived today!! These are the very first pictures taken, and as you can see, Rachel has a lot to learn about the camera. Watch this space for new, fantastic pictures of Miles.

Fun in the sun

Miles is soaking up a little sun and getting his dose of Vitamin D for the day. Cassie thinks he's got the right idea.
