Our yearly anniversary shot

Ellen and Alan took care of Miles for a couple of hours so we could celebrate our anniversary. Four years!

the Bumbo

Mac has decided that the Bumbo isn't such a bad place to be.
And it's a pretty good spot for a nap, too.

Winter is really coming.

Miles is getting more used to dressing for winter.

Three months!

Miles is doing all sorts of things now that he wasn't doing a month ago. He loves his nuk, although he doesn't usually get it to his mouth correctly if he's doing it on his own.
And sometimes the fist is so much easier to chew on.
And the smiles! Things are so much funnier than they used to be.

Visiting Madison

We took a long trip to Madison to visit our friend Sonja for her Birthday. We took care of Annika for an evening while her parents went out for a pre-birthday adult dinner date. She looooooves Baby Miles.

Election night

Here we are, celebrating the night.
I know, it's rediculous to take a picture of the TV. But someone at the party we were at said his father cherished the picture he took of the space landing. So, here's the president elect giving his speech in Grant Park.

Halloween

Halloween was a big day for us. The costume party, of course. (The Elvis wig and glasses are destroyed, now. Lyle seemed to think they might be small animals that needed to be destroyed.)
We also went to see Barack Obama speak in Des Moines. Awesome!

I'm honestly trying!

Something is funny with my computer, and it won't let me post pictures to the blog. So, I'm stealing some pictures of Mom's from her computer, and I will keep working on my computer tomorrow. If I do more now, I might have to throw it out the window. Anyway, here are a few pictures to keep you all happy. The top one shows what the weather is doing lately, with beautiful hand-knit gifts from Kate in England (the blanket) and Ane-Guri in Norway (the mittens). Then there are the pictures of Miles in his Halloween costume. Can you believe how cute that is?
